RMH Blogger Tour

As I mentioned earlier, on Saturday I was lucky to be invited to a sneak peak of the enormus expansion of Winston-Salem's Ronald McDonald House. This was my first blogger event and I really enjoyed the chance to meet some new friends and be introduced to other great blogs from around town. Another big highlight was getting our very own private tour of the new house. Lastly, it was such an honor to see what the new expansion will be able to offer over 700 more families a year.

The purpose of the RMH is to serve families from outside Forsyth County to have a sick child staying at either Baptist or Forsyth hospital.

It is a place of comfort. To take a break from the hospital lights and talk to other families who understand what you are going through.

It is a place to find peace and hospitality.
To get some much needed rest so you can be there for your sick child.
A place for a little quiet time.
To take a shower and freshen up. To have a homecooked meal and a cup of coffee.

It is not a hotel, it is a 'home away from home' for families who are hurting, praying and anticipating the health of their little one.
