Another Great Weekend

This weekend, we were blessed to see some beautiful friends get married

And husband looked so handsome in his uniform

And my very dear friend Alysa came back from Canada

I tried to get a little art-sy And we rounded it out with dinner at Tim's with C and all his grandparents!

Going to Go Ahead and Say it...

I'm ready for fall. I'm tired of being sweaty. I'm tired of weeds everywhere. I'm tired of wearing the same summer dresses over and over and refuse to buy more at this point. I'm tired of the mosquito bites that I cannot stop itching.

I want to wear boots

And decorate with pumpkins

And belt sweaters and rock booties

And see baby boy running around in this every Saturday

And watch the leaves change

And then I want to skip right back to spring :)

Blue & White

Is such a great color combination. Last night, I was going through my closet looking for something for my friend Martha to borrow to wear to a UNC game, when I realized just how much blue and white I own. It is clean and classic, perfect for any outfit or any room really.

C-Monday

Happy Monday friends! Do you every have one of those weekends when everything just goes right? The past three days have been some of the best we have had in a long time. From enjoying wine and exploration:

It was definitely one of those weekends that just went right all around. Best of all, on Friday morning we found out Kev was selected for a new job in the Army that he had been hoping for, but didn't think he would get. This means we are staying in the Army for (at least) the next twelve years. I feel an odd sense of excitement and calmness about this. I am proud of husband for following his heart and proud of us accepting this new curve ball thrown our way without hestitation. There is no one I would rather adventure with than these two.

Fantastic Find

Yesterday at work, my friend Katie showed up in this number but with a yellow belt cinching her waist. So cute right?

Surprise! It is anthropologie, but technically a nightgown. Now, I don't know about yall, but that looks nothing like the oversized tshirt I rock to sleep. Good news is, this cute-as-a-dress nightgown is about $100 less than a normal anthro design. Here are a few others:

Birthday Wishes

This was not the original intention of my post. I went looking for Marchesa's new line of china by Lenox that was designed to compliment their Fall 2010 wedding dresses (genius marketing), however, the power of google somehow found me on NeimanMarcus.com where I was sucked into looking at several other china designs.

For example, Lenox carries kate spade's line and she has one particular design called "larabee dot" and save the missing 'r', you can see why I wanted all the crytal items when I registered for my wedding four years ago. Much to my delight, she has added items to this line and I have picked out a few birthday wishes...

1. ) They did not have these plates when I got married. I wouldn't want the whole set, I don't like things too matchy (Actually, now that I am thinking about it, I should do a post on my china- it is really wonderful and unique), but with that said I would love some dinner or salad plates to pair with other more colorful ones.



2) Also high on my list, a few of these goblets. For two reason a) it would be awesome to be able to say "I'm drinking wine out of a goblet" and b) 2 out of 2 of these I used to have fell subject to my overly zealous love affair with wine... they are apparently really fragile after a few drinks...sad.



3)How cute is this guy with his black polka dots?? I think it would be gorgeous on a Christmas table.


So that should keep you thinking for the next two months until my birthday arrives. And honestly, Im not that picky, I'd settle for serving dish :)

(Late) C-Monday
