I probably talk about the weather way too much on this blog and I am aware of that. But when you are an East Coaster transported to a place with no seasons, it becomes a fascination. And for the first time since we moved here last July, I got a sunburn and loved every second of it.
Before the sun, we started off with a little Friday afternoon wrestling. The boys' favorite time of day is when Kev gets home.
On Saturday, we had a very non-glamorous morning cleaning out the garage, followed by an afternoon at the beach.
My boys love the water so much. I don't know what we will do when we can no longer see the ocean from our house.
Cullen and Bennett received their very own Louisville Sluggers from Uncle Chris and Ms Katie and although Chris intended them to be mementos, Cullen took his straight to the beach.
He also found a colony of lady bugs, which kept him pre-occupied for a long time.
Meanwhile, Bennett achieved official Beach Bum status by drinking his ba-ba sandy-handed.
We attempted some cute family pics. They turned out cute in their own way.
Sunday was Church, followed by train time outside. We finally figured out a way to keep Bubba from wrecking the tracks.
Before we head off into the week, one more shot of our pretty view
And my own little Coppertone Baby.
How was your weekend?

I love this. We are totally planning on living as close to the ocean as possible... how could you not want that as a backdrop!?
That red gingham jumper makes me smile :) Looks like a beautiful weekend, as always!
Looks like a beautiful weekend!! We went to the beach too! We live so close now since moving here, and there's white sand(!!!)
Nothing like beach afternoons :)
Such lovely pictures, you sure do live in a pretty spot on the California coast :)

Oh the last picture is priceless!!! I to have a hard time coping with the fact that we now have seasons again and the ocean isn't a 10 minutes drive :( soak it up and enjoy it while you can sweet thing!!!
Our weekend was fabulous, we celebrated my birthday!! Details and Pics to come!!
miss you friend!
I love your family photos. Sometimes those are the best kind! Cullen looks so happy playing on the beach and that last pic of him is to die for!!! Mr. Bennett looked like he was just soaking it all in. So jealous of your family fun beach days!
I'm so jealous of your location.
And beautiful pictures. The last two photos look like they could be one big photo. So sweet.
I love the sandy bottle- I feel his pain, when I'm on the beach everything I own is covered in sand, it's inevitable!! Sounds like a great weekend.
The beach is the perfect backdrop, pictures always turn out good with an ocean view and your family pictures are utterly adorable!!
I do love the beach but had to acquire a taste for sand everywhere. I am sure the milk got drank regardless.
such beautiful photos of your children :) it captures childhood and nature at the same time <3

I love all your pictures. That first pic of bennett is adorable and I love the last pic of Cullen! sounds like you guys had a good weekend
Ohhhh, your beaches are so gorgeous! Gosh, it would be awesome to have that to visit every day! I love your Sodor train wash :)
At least living in the west coast you don't have the awful humidity to deal with like us east coast people. I miss the beach and can't wait to visit soon! Our pool opens next week so that is my first step to getting rid of my pale skin. ;) xoxo
Looks like a blast! Ah, how I miss California's beaches.
I can see why you like talking about the weather. It looks gorgeous there!

These are such unbelievably beautiful pictures! It looks like it was an amazing day!
What a great weekend! Looks like you made some amazing memories :)
Wow, I don't know that there's a word to adequately express how gorgeous that beach is, nor how blessed y'all are to have that in your back yard.
It's 60 degrees here, had been raining & is going to freeze over night. In the South. In fact Asheville got snow last night. To say I'm jealous is quite the understatement ;)
Lastly, kudos Kate for always pointing about what an incredible Father & husband God gave you. We don't give our guys near enough credit! LOVE those sweet pictures of him adoring your boys :)
Looks like a fantastic weekend! I love the beach pics! I got my first sunburn of the year too! Seattle finally had some gorgeous weather!
Those pictures look amazing, I totally love the last one! You should print it and put it in a big frame!
I'm always complaining about the weather since I've moved to London, I'd love to have the ocean closer to me. :)
Have a lovely day!
