Friday Fancies: Chambray Love

Happy Friday, y'all. Thanks for all your awesome comments on yesterday's goals. It was so interesting to hear what you have planned for your future.

Now, on to some Friday Fancies.

Have you hopped on board with the chambray shirt? I did last fall and rock my shirt with my green skinnies, colored shorts or a khaki skirt. It is a great, easy look that still looks put together and chic. But since Friday Fancies is all about what we dream of wearing, I decided to show you an outfit with chambray that I am by no means cool enough to wear, but wish I could.
FF

Let's chat about things in this outfit I am not cool enough for:

1. Clothes by j.crew. I can't afford them (since my goal is to not go back to work, I'm shopping at Old Navy these days).
2. Lace Shorts. These are so pretty and feminine. I wish I was comfortable in shorts, but my two-kids-later thighs are not happy showing off this part of my body.
3. A fedora. I look silly in hats, for real.

Be sure to check out the other Fancies at Long Distnace Loving.

What are you up to this weekend? We have a joint birthday party for the boys this afternoon (Bennett's bday in June 5th) and don't have else specific after that. But you can be sure that there will be some cute pictures on Monday.

Oh you could totally pull that off! I could so see it! And I look silly in hats too, but I went to Walmart last year and got a fedora there because I thought it was too cool to pass up. So even though my family made fun of me, I still wore it. You could too! But I love this outfit, it's just so perfect for the season. Happy Birthday to Bennett and Cullen, have a great time today!

Oooooo, I love this mix! I look pretty silly in most hats too. But the whole look is so awesome and put together!

I need to find a chambray shirt! That's the same material they used to use to make men's shirts in the olden days...and because I'm a loser, that's the first thing I think of when I see "chambray".

Happy Friday!

Have fun at the birthday party!

What are you even talking about? You could totally pull this off. Question though- chambray. It is a material that is not cotton or mesh, therefore I am not familiar with it. So... is it a thin fabric? Will it stick to me and show sweat? Because it is 86 degrees with 6,000% humidity here today and obviously that means I'm sweating like a turkey on Thanksgiving and I don't wanna go falling in love with some fabric that is going to showcase my fierce ability to drench my clothes with wet stink. Thaaaaanks ;)

Your outfit is definitely laid back cool done right. I love the combination of the lace shorts and chambray top with the cute tote and wedges.

Enjoy the birthday party! And thank you for the sweet comment on my blog, happy to have found your adorable one in return!

I am always hesitant to buy chambray because I don't know what to pair it with but you have given me such gorgeous inspiration! What a great summer look! :)

I had never even heard of the word "chambray" until today! LOL. Is that crazy? I like the look...I would have to get some non-denim bottoms to wear it with. And you could totally wear that outfit.

Also, I am soooooo with you on the shorts. Only my no-shorts-legs are the result of only one kiddo. But actually, I have never been a big fan of shorts (or legs). It's capris or dresses for me!

Those shorts are to die for!!!!!!!!

I love the look of that shirt but for some reason I never buy button up shirts, but they always look so cute on other people.

I love the look - but like you - shorts are too short for these legs nowaday! I am not really a hat person...wish I was!

thanks for commenting on my blog - I am a new follower now
