Happy Friday, my darlings!
The end of the week is upon us and even though the past few weeks I have been sharing the 'get real' version of motherhood, this week I had to take a break and rejoin Friday Fancies to create an outfit for the Kentucky Derby. Who doesn't love an excuse to dress up and have a fancy cocktail?
1. I am so loving a maxi dress and isn't this (Jane Norman maxi dress, £65) just perfect? I would wear this constantly, not just on Derby Day.
2. You really can't go wrong with wedges and the Nine West t strap sandals, $89 have the right vibe and price.
3. The Longchamp tote bag, $98 is quite possibly the best investment ever. I got mine as a gift from some students I hosted in 2008. I still use my bag daliy, it is amazing.
4. And the accesories: Aqua crystal jewelry, $28, Kendra scott earrings, $70, Noel Stewart wide brim straw hat, $315.

LOVE that dress. And yes, who doesn't like a good excuse to day drink? (Although honestly, that's the only kind of drinking I do anymore what with my 9pm bedtime and all..)

I actually was just saying the other day that I really want a maxi dress for my upcoming vacation, but everything is too long for my 5'4" frame.
Also, I used to use my Longchamp every day and forgot all about it. I'm going to dig that bad boy out of the back of my closet!

I've been in love with maxi dresses since my pregnancy with my now 2 1/2 year old....i feel like that is all I wear now!
