I don't have a lot of words today.

Actually, that is a lie. I have a lot of words, but they are mostly in an unnaturally high, clinched jaw voice and start somewhere around Whyisgoingtothegrocerystorewithyoutwosodifficult and end in the AlthoughIamexcited,ImightalsohaveananxietyattackovermytriptoVAnextweek region. And no one really wants to hear about that.

So instead, here are pictures from the rest of our weekend after the birthday party.

A walk around the lake while Kev was studying on Sunday.

 Trying to make dinner.
C not helping.
At least it was healthy food?
Meanwhile, here was his partner in crime. Let's see if I can stick my spaghetti to the fish tank...
Pure trouble this little one is, pure trouble.
 There was a dance party.
And dinner did eventually get made.
I tried to capture the solar eclipse with my camera. I could see it perfectly through my lens, but the picture came out as an inverted reflection. Still pretty amazing though, yes?
Not solar eclipse glasses, but 3-D glasses that he got for his birthday. Hey, Mommy, your face is dancing! You aren't supposed to think the beer goggles are fun, Cullen.
 Bennett's concentration face.
And a little afternoon pool time.

Other Happenings Not Caught on Camera:
Bathroom cleaning and laudry putting away-ing.
Waffles.
The Castroville Artichoke Festival.
Viewing of Limitless, the movie. Not great, not horrible. I was entertained.

Mass on Sunday: We are called to Love. Simple as that.

We saw Limitless in the theater. I agree. It was "eh..okay".
I'm hoping that your days leading up to your trip (and the trip itself, of course) go smoothly. I know exactly how you feel when it comes to cross-country travel anxiety...well, minus the two little troublemakers, of course :)

Your comment, 'but they are mostly in an unnaturally high, clinched jaw voice' made me LOL!!! Wonderful pictures! The broccoli made me think of my cat Norman... We don't feed them table food unless it's clean fish or chicken. However, sometimes if they are being pest in the kitchen I will let them sniff whatever we are cooking (usually something they won't like, for example vegetables) and then they go away. Somehow it works. ;) Anyways, Norman decided he wanted to eat broccoli? I let him have it b/c it's clean food, but very random to see a cat eat broccoli? LOL Obviously a very, very small piece. Oh and dance parties and pool time! Ummm I want to come! xoxo A-

Bennett's concentration face is too cute! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you'll have less stress over your trip soon, too. As a fellow bicoastal traveler, I have definitely been there myself many times.

Despite your frustrations, you take beautiful pictures! Of course, how could you not get beautiful pictures with that family?
On the plane over just ask the stewardess to watch the boys while you go to the bathroom...and then just lock yourself in there with a glass of wine!!! OK, so that won't happen. It was a good idea, anyway.
Looking forward to seeing you soon! So much to celebrate.
Love ya!

Why are you anxious about your trip to VA? What part are you visiting? Btw, that's so cool that you saw the eclipse even if you couldn't capture it as well as you'd like.
