Hello, my friends. How was your weekend? Our was a whole lot of relaxing. It started with wine tasting on Friday afternoon with some friends, followed by a night in with the hubs catching up on our DVR and texting my college girlfriends a pic of my cocktail of choice: sweet tea and vodka. Several years ago, we were pretty sure that was the best thing ever invented (it is still pretty delicious, just in case you were wondering).
On Saturday morning, we decided to take the boys to Gilroy Gardens. We are still craving sun around here and Gilroy is just north and inland enough to have less clouds and warmer temps. Gilroy Gardens is a small amusement park, perfect size for a toddler and a preschooler. That's right, a toddler. I think Bennett is baby no more (cue heart break).
My boys had an absolute ball. Cullen drove us around an old car track,
And got to ride a train.
Bennett and Kev ran through the waterfalls,
while all my boys found their way out of the rock maze.
We, being the crazy parents we are, took the boys here exactly during naptime. They powered through and we wouldn't have known for a second that they were actaully exhausted.
Have I told you how much I love my boys? Because I do. A lot.
Even when they cry because I am on the ride with their brother and it makes them (and me) sad. (With that being said, thanks for the encouragement on B's first day of baby school. He did great and we are looking forward to working out his Mommy-attachment issues a few hours a week!)
Luckily, Kev found some bubbles to make Bennett's day
Look at all these blues (not the matching ones we wore, which I swear I didn't notice until uploading pictures later, but the eyes on those little ones).
The best part? Two boys were sound alseep before we got back on the highway. That is the real sign of a successful adventure.
Sunday we had a lazy morning, went out to lunch and then in the afternoon headed to Carmel Valley for some more sun. Cullen announced to us on the way "We should moves to a new house in Carmel Balley cuz it's so, so sunny there and I loves it."
Lauren, this picture is for you.
Baby mullet + wading in the river in a diaper.
It only slightly rivals Molly's thighs.
Hope your weekend was wonderful too.
