For the first weekend in what seems like forever, the boys and I hung out at home. Of course, we still did about 329480928342 things because that is how we roll, but it was really nice to just be around the house.
Friday we met some friends at the Splash Park in the afternoon and then ordered pizza (first one since Kev deployed- Self five!) and rented The Lego Movie. Sadly, we turned that one off within the first 30 minutes- it was just a little too intense for my sensitive boys.
So we settled for some Curious George and called it an early night.
Saturday morning we did a little more work on the boys' new room
and then Nana and Pop came over for the afternoon.
Deb and I were off to my almost sister in law's bridal shower while Scott held down the fort with all 3 boys (brave man).
After a lovely and fun shower, we headed back home and Nana and Pop treated us to Chinese and took over bathtime and dish-doing for me which was an amazing break.
Sunday, the boys and I were up early so made it to 9am Mass and the pancake breakfast afterwards. Because of travel, we hadn't been to Mass in a few weeks and it was so refreshing to be there.
Afterwards, we came home and I mowed the lawn while the big boys played in the mud and Wells napped then later that afternoon, Cate and Alysa came over to hang out and for dinner.
(I also re-made my risotto so I can do a post for all who asked the the recipe last week!)
A few games of front yard baseball (thanks to some new toys from Uncle Pete and Aunt Lori!), it was bath and bed for some worn out boys.
It was busy, but such a nice weekend.

Wow! You mow the lawn too? Talk about Super Woman! I got a lawn guy while Jarrod was deployed.
I love your dress in the pic from the bridal shower!! Also, way to go for cutting the grass while 2 out of 3 were awake lol. I can't do it with my two girls, they get into everything lol. Glad you had a great weekend :)
I was thinking the same thing... Wow you mow the lawn yourself and haven't been ordering pizza every other night! You are superwoman! I can't get over that wells will be one next month! Where does the time go???
Yay for a weekend at home! Those are hard to come by when hubby is away!
Awh, your boys are adorable! Impressive that your husband stayed at home with all 3 of them by himself :)
Your boys are so cute! It's so fun because I can relate so much to your busy wonderful life. Sounds like a practically perfect weekend.
Such a nice weekend! Glad you got some "time off" during it too :) Looks like the boys room is coming along. How are things going with room sharing?! I bet they love it so much that once Wells is old enough, you'll have to squeeze a 3rd bed in there!
That first picture needs to be framed! So cute!
Sounds like a wonderful weekend at home. (:
We had our first weekend at home as well, in quite some time. The weather was awful and we just got things done around the house.
Again, you are so fortunate to be close to family. I imagine wearing 3 boys out wears you out too!
I don't have a lawn to mow because we're mostly sand and tumbleweeds at this place, but I do have to feed the quail when Scott's away.
(Did you watch True Blood?)
I live the pictures of the boys in this post!
Your boys are just too darn cute!
I love that first picture! What a great weekend.
pizza takeout is the first thing on my list when Hubby is going to be out of town! good for you that you've made it so long!
Youre little one is so big already!
What a great weekend! Help with the kids and like everyone else said, props for mowing the lawn with 2 of the 3 kids awake. I can't believe Wells is almost 1! I feel like he was just born!
Sounds like a perfect weekend! Charli loves the Lego movie... Although I know she is still a little young to actually understand anything really scary. And her new favorite thing to say is "awesome" haha! "Everything is awesome"! ;)
Sounds like a great weekend to me! :)
What a great weekend with friends and family. Your boys are so super cute. (We found The Lego Movie to be super intense too.) Once again, it sounds like you were able to fit a lot of activities into a very short few days...AMAZING.
Sometimes laying low and enjoying a weekend home is the best therapy for everyone!!! Still sounds like a fabulous time.
Sounds like a lovely weekend. We tried the lego movie too and it didn't stay on longer than a few minutes either. Not exactly something we wanted T watching.
It looks like you had a perfect weekend.
I love the boys' new room!
