After last week's not so great days, I was excited to be off on Friday for my almost sister in law Caitlin's bachelorette party in Charlottesville, VA.
The weekend was perfectly planned by her sisters Cara and Molly and best friend Colby.

Friday, we had planned a pool day but it was cold and rainy so we spent the day inside painting nails, drinking wine and telling stories until the rest of the group arrived that night. After a fiesta dinner, we headed up to one of the common rooms for a lingerie shower. Molly had us each bring a pair of underwear and Caitlin had to guess who got it for her.
I bought these, since she is marrying my brother after all.
Later that evening, my brother Joey made a cameo appearance during a cute game where Colby asked Caitlin questions and then compared her answers to Joey's previously tapped ones. I am happy to report that she pretty much nailed every answer!
On Saturday morning, this tired Momma woke up at 8 and then realized no one needed me to do anything, so fell back asleep until 10. So nice.
Then at 12 we were off on our party bus to downtown Charlotsville for lunch and a scavenger hunt. Sadly our bus driver Tony was a litttttle too confident flying down the twisted mountain roads and we all arrived with shaky knees, but it was nothing a drink couldn't solve pretty quickly.

Later that evening, we went back to the house for another awesome homemade dinner (thanks Molly!) and then Caitlin was 'roasted' in a hilarious poem by her friend Cameron. Her reactions were priceless.
So after one more big cheers to the bride, we gathered around a bonfire and wrapped up a great weekend.
We can't wait to celebrated your marriage next month!

WOW!! How fabulous! Her friends did an awesome job! And how cute is she in those cutoffs. Off to eat a cucumber for breakfast in an effort to look that good. ;0
