Let's back up to the celebration of 3:
Bennett had a wonderful birthday. He came down the stairs on Thursday morning and the first thing he said was "Hey, where's my candle?" so I stuck his 3 candle in the doughnuts he had picked out for breakfast and his special day was on its way.
We arranged for Kev to call on facetime so we could open presents all together. The time change had him calling us right at lunchtime (and puttingtogetherthegiftsrightnow time) so it was a little chaotic but fun to have him there with us.
We got B this tool bench and he was so excited. He immediately got on his 'phone' to call Bummy and tell him that he had real tools now too.

The rest of the day we just hung out, played a little lacrosse and had the grandparents, uncles and girlfriends over for dinner. B was so cute hanging out with his family and we were grateful for all the love.
A birthday sleepover, a diaper box rocket ship, The boys and me posing for a bday pic, working on Daddy's truck with Uncle Bummy and Bennett's new tools.
This weekend we didn't do too much and a certain little dude tried to crawl but gave up after a bit.
Saturday afternoon, I took the boys to a splash park near our house. It is free and doesn't involve me getting in the water, so it is a win for us.
And then on Sunday, I took all 3 boys to Mass on my own, Wells completely skipped his afternoon nap (so was awake from noon-7pm...it was lovely), I mowed the back yard (even thought Bennett told me "ladies don't use lawn mowers") and braved a 3 year old's birthday party while answering all the awkward questions about why my husband wasn't there.
The corona was well deserved.

Hope your weekend was wonderful!

Mowing the yard... IMPRESSIVE!! (But I guess taking over the hubby's chores is a must). Corona WELL deserved!! So glad Bubs had a wonderful birthday! Can't believe he is 3... goodness!

You go mama. The good thing is you've got 3 boys that will one day be able to take over Dad's away mowing duties. Until then.. the Corona is a win. Happy belated birthday to little man!

Sometimes you think that if you have to say, "Oh, he's deployed" and then they ask for how long and you have to count the months in your head (again)…you just might lose your mind. You needed that Corona, friend!

Mowing the yard is my least fave chore ever. That corona is VERY well deserved!!

I think I mowed our lawn twice while Steve was gone. But what a sight- Molly strapped to my back, Sam pushing his bubble mower, me just trying to START the damn thing... I know the neighbors got a good laugh outta me. You need to get one of those uncles to do your lawn for you next time! What are brothers for, right??

Umm..I noticed the cheerios scattered all over the bed with Wells and it made me a bit envious that you can put him down and he stays in one place. YAY for beginning to crawl though. Glad you're well!

Well deserved, indeed! Geez…I didn't even consider things like how the lawn would get done if my husband wasn't around. Well…among other things, your boys will see how capable a woman is/can be/should be.
Love the pictures of Wells giving a go at crawling…especially the giving up one, ha! He is just too much cute wrapped into one little package, thats for sure!

The diaper box rocket ship is awesome! We will be stealing that idea! And gosh, is it just me or does Wells look a lot like Cullen in the top left picture of him in the bed?

You're so generous to share your low moments, too. I always have you in my mind as a paragon of motherhood (which you are), but it's always kindred to know that even the World's Most Wonderful and Hot Mom sometimes cries over a banana.

You're amazing, lady. xo
