I Confess

...That I didn't love Frozen. (I am also afraid the Disney police is going to come kidnap me in the middle of the night for admitting this.) The boys and I rented it last week from Red Box and skipped naptime to snuggle up and watch it. And maybe just because there was so much hype about it I was just expecting more? Ok, it was cute that her sister saved her in the end and the one song with the snowman was funny.. but the rest of movie? Eh. Just didn't love it. Cullen thought it was too scary (he was laying the floor heavy breathing saying 'I'm not going to make it' when Elsa sent the snow monster out) and Bennett just wanted to know when the Mommy and Daddy were coming back (sob).
Back to Cars we go.

...that I am worried no one will link up with me on Thursday for the Month of the Military child. Remember, any post about having, being or appreciating the Military child is welcome. Come on over, link up and make some new friends!

...that Bennett pooped in the backyard on Sunday. But that is a story for another day.

...that I am very thankful for my health, and for the opportunity to help spread awareness for other's who are not as fortunate. Heather was diagnosed with a rare cancer, pleural mesothelioma, caused by exposure to asbestos. She had an infant daughter and was given only 15 months to live. She underwent surgery to remove her left lung and by some miracle, she is alive and cancer free today, eight years later. She now works to raise awareness for her rare disease and would love to share her story with you. Click HERE to watch Heather's journey and read how you can help.

...that I had a great time hosting people on Saturday, but our little family celebration for Kev's bday? Just perfect. The boys wanted to decorate and surprise Daddy, so we did. It was too sweet. I also asked them questions about Kev earlier in the afternoon and shared the answers with Kev over cake. It was adorable. They both love that their Daddy plays sports with him and describe him as "2 years old, funny, nice and tall." C said Kev's favorite thing to do is 'talk' and B said for work Daddy 'goes to work'.

Love these men, big and little, so much.

Any confessions on your part this week??

Ha, I know tons of people who really didn't like Frozen :) I thought it was kind of funny and cute, and liked the story somewhat, but yeah definitely lots of scary parts for little kids! Thankfully the first time Annie watched it she totally didn't even understand that the parents died, and ever since she doesn't seem to care :)

That birthday party is too cute! Gracie loves Frozen, but it's also the first movie we've ever bought her and let her watch since she's even old enough to understand/enjoy it. Thankfully, she doesn't recognize the parents dying at all.

Yay for decorating, that is always my favorite part of birthdays. :)

I didn't love it the first time I saw it. But, watching my daughter love it made me LOVE it. So, I was converted. :)

Do you think your ratio of poop to other stories is normal for a mom of three boys? Or higher? I have to admit - I am nervous about having children now!! Haha.

I didn't like that much Frozen either!! I'm afraid someone will strip me of the mom title if I admit it out loud.

I haven't seen Frozen yet!

Chloe loves Frozen but now we are dealing with the aftermath of the "snow monster" and that she talks about him constantly, especially at night when she's scared to go to bed. Sigh...

I didn't love Frozen the first time I watched it, but since we watch it at least once a week, it certainly does grow on you.

Taylor is a fan of the trolls, but she also points out the Elsa is sad almost the entire movie. Yes she is, Tay. Yes she is.

I liked Frozen but didn't love it quite as much as some other people did. Great birthday pictures! It looks like you guys had a really nice family celebration.

I loved Frozen, but I will admit that there were actually super scary parts of it and I 100% thought of Cullen during the storm scene and snow monster scene, even the wolf scene. Luckily Charli is still young enough that she doesn't get it, but I totally wanted to cover her eyes (but also didn't want to make a "big deal" about it) haha! And I will be linking up, don't you fret! ;)

We watched Frozen over the weekend and I actually didn't get to see the end, had to put the kids to bed, will eventually see it, but I did like what I've seen so far. Colton really liked it too, watched it 3 times over the weekend, and he didn't like the monster part either.

Wait, I just saw what Erin wrote, the parents died? I totally missed that! :(

Ha! My daughter doesn't like Frozen either. Well, actually, I think it's movies in general. They're too long to sit through. We bought the movie because I was dying to see what all the hype was about and five minutes in Tory said, "Can I watch Dora?"

What a handsome set of men you got there! Glad Kev's birthday was a success. And no worries about pooping in the backyard, I never shared the story about Jed pooping in front of everyone at the lake. Aaaah!

I love the photo of your husband being surprised by the decor - so cute! The kids must have been thrilled!
Also, the above comment about your poop story ratio - HAHAHAHAAAA!!!! We all have PLENTY of poop stories, but I think most of us have trouble finding as much humor in it as you do ;) And if I documented every ridiculous poop story, thats probably ALL I would write about, lol! Keep em coming - it makes the rest of us feel more normal!

Happy Birthday to Kev! Sometimes smaller, family birthday parties are the best.

I confess that I didn't like Frozen that much either. It had lots of adult themes, trickery, etc. I'm not sure I understand the hype either. I'm fine if we don't see it again.

I love the last picture!!!
My girls are obsessed with Frozen, but I haven't been allowed to watch it yet. Lily kicks me out of the room so she can sing! ;)
Did I already comment on this? HA! I blame mommy brain if I did!
