On April 14th, Wells turned 8 months old. For all 3 of my boys, this has been an absolute favorite age for me. They are engaging, can feed themselves, sleep well, play with toys and can't get into too much trouble yet.
I mentioned once before that Wells is the type of baby that could make people want a baby and this is definitely still the case. He inherited his Daddy's smile and seems to bring the expression to his face with his whole being.
It is a contagious kind of joy that he has in his heart and I pray that he never loses it.
He finally sprouted two teeth in the last few days, but that didn't stop him from eating real food previous to getting them. He gave up the purees over a long time ago and aside from a squeeze pouch on the go, simply eats whatever we are eating. He has yet to meet a food he doesn't like and will even sort through his tray to find the ones he prefers. I can't even list all the foods he's tried because chance are, if we've had it then so has he. He also drinks a bunch (3rd child..I don't have specifics) of formula a day.
Like his biggest brother, he has zero interest in crawling or rolling. He can't go from back to belly at all and if we put him on his belly to try and crawl, he will flip right over and just lay there.
If he is sitting and can't reach a toy, he will just fall over and play with his toes. This lack of effort in the moving department doesn't concern me at all. I am perfectly happy letting him sit still for as long as he wants (Please buddy, at least through when we go to the beach at the end of next week. I would looove it if you just sit on a blanket the whole time. Thanks in advance.).
If he is over tired, he will have just a little bit of stranger danger and when he feels that way, Momma is the only one he wants.
He take two naps in the morning, usually one in the car while we are on the go and one short one before the boys leave for school. Then in the afternoon he is out from 1-3 just like Bennett. He goes to bed around 6:30 and sometimes wakes up for a little snack around 5 and then goes back down until 6:30.
His two brothers are his favorite people in the world.
He wears 12-18 month clothes and easily weighs 25lbs. My sweet giant baby.
His hair is also still out of control.
We love you so much darling boy.
Keep growing big, healthy and strong, and don't let anyone ever take your happiness away!

He seems like such a happy boy!! :) I love all of his expressions.
He is precious and so big...well compared to our peanut, Haley. She is really low on the growth charts though. Glad he is sleeping better for you. No crawling yet at our house either and Haley is almost 9 months. I am in no hurry for that either. At least now when I sit her down I know she is going to stay there. LOL
Aww, Wells is such a sweet, happy boy! Like you said, hopefully that joy will stay with him always. :)
I love this age too for the reasons you mentioned. I'm jealous that he's such a good eater. I'm ready to be done with the purees, but don't think D's quite ready yet.
awww, he's so happy! Love all the smiles. Isabella is 7.5 months and is crawling up a storm! I thought we had time before that happened, apparently not! Keeping fingers he keeps laying on his back till after your beach vacation :)
His girlfriend in NC could not be more different!! Emma is petite and on the move! Too funny. Sweet boy!
Love his hair! Luke's hair used to be like that for awhile, so adorable :)
So sweet!! He is adorable.
Oh yeah, that is definitely the kind of kid to make you baby crazy!!! What a fantastic guy!
He truly is the perfect "let's have more babies" baby.
I love his relaxed attitude on life. Alex JUST started rolling onto his belly this week, but can't even get up onto his hands and knees yet, so I think he's joining Wells in the take it easy category!
His grin just MELTS me! Total dream baby :) This description is EXACTLY what my 2nd was like - super smiley and happy, loved to eat and just sit and play. She didn't crawl until she was 10.5 months. Very chill. Oh how I wish my W was even just a teeny tiny bit like that! I've got to say though, if Wells was my baby, I'd have a tough time not having another!
Oh my goodness! What a doll! He is such a cutie and looks like he is a pure joy. I'm so excited to see my two boys together when Owen gets a little older. :)
I wish I knew him like his brothers! He is just too sweet, and his head... with that hair... So sniffable!! Can't believe he is 8 months!
Such a great age. He is absolutely adorable.
I loved that age too! Noah was late on crawling and all that too. They actually sound very similar, except that Wells seems to be a great sleeper :).
Such a sweet boy!
There are posts like this that make me kinda sad that I won't have any more babies.
And then I break up another fight between my two and snap out of it! ;)
He's so sweet!!
A) He is 5 pounds heavier than Hadley! B) He looks so much like Cullen and C) I love him!
His smile is so sweet. I mean how can you not smile at that? I love that picture of him on his back in a chair. Amazing.
I LOVE him! Kev certainly can't deny him. And that Auburn romper is to die for. Is it unreasonable to hope that he never loses his static hair?
What a sweet heart!!! I looooove his out of control fuzzy hair! It's the best!!!
love his hair! and of course the smiles!
Haha he is even adorable when he's upset! The best line is 3rd child I don't have specifics.
8 months already, wow time flys. He's such a cute little fella!!!!

I love the stranger danger face---too funny! He's adorable---happy 8 months to him!
Just found your blog! All of your boys are so cute but that little Wells is adorable! That hair- I can't get over it.
If he's looking for a girlfriend a few months behind him in the eating department but about even in not crawling I might be able to arrange something. ;)
Happy 8mths to your littlest! He really does have an awesome smile! And that hair - gorgeous :)
He is SO cute! His fluffy hair and big blue eyes get me every time. I'm glad you're not rushing his milestones. He'll get there in his own time. His sitting skills are top notch, though!!! After having 3 kids that hit every milestone earlier than the norm, I'm trying to embrace the fact that Liam will reach them on his own. Wells is beautiful!
