Just some notes on how this one is different from my others. Things I want to remember, that I have been mentally tracking since we found out on Dec 8th.
1. When I was pregnant with Cullen, it was all we could think/talk about. I wanted to shop, plan, think of names, figure out how we would parent, how the baby would change our lives, how we would remain a happily married couple and make time for each other, worry about how our dog would react, what names his grandparents would go by..ect ect ect all day/every day.

| My sweet little Cullen |
My pregnancy with Bennett was spent concerned about having a second child: how would Cullen handle it? How could I possibly love a child as much as we already love the one we have? What's it going to be like waking up at night again? How are we going to balance ourselves and give the kids all the attention they need? Will I stop throwing up ever? I questioned things so much that I very guiltily didn't feel the same connection to B in my womb because I was so busy worry about things on the outside. (Side note: I cried one tear at Cullen's birth. I couldn't pull it together after Bennett was born because I was so overwhelmed by how much I loved him and how much room in my heart there was.)
| 34 weeks large with B, worried about C |
2. This is the first time I have craved something I don't like in real life: olives. I have been eating jars and jars of olives and I hate olives. (With C I craved milk and Bennett was Chinese food.)
3. The exhaustion is a whole other game when there are two little ones at home. Thank god the first few weeks were over Christmas and Kev was home often because I don't know if I would have made it. It was debilitating and frustrating. I am finally at the point where I can make it through the day without a nap, but that is just in the last few days. So thankful to have some energy back.
4. The mood swings with this one are intense. In normal life, I cry like twice a year. The other day, I cried because my mascara looked weird. Someone please find get my even tempered, laid back self and let her know that she is welcome back any time. And thank you mom for bearing the brunt of my early morning hysteria because my coffee smelled funny and the boys brought dirt in the house.
5. I can't wait to hold a sleeping newborn on my chest. I still love when my boys want to cuddle and can't wait to snuggle with a little one who would rather be no where else.

PS- You know how on Monday I joked that we asked my mom to stay another week? Well, the storm brewing on the East Coast canceled her flight out yesterday and she is hoping to get home today. Say a little prayer for on-time and safe flights for her today, will you?

It is truly amazing to see the differences in reaction/handling all of the pregnancies! Because with Charli, it was the exact same way for you and Cullen (but its the very first child, so it is so very normal!) and I am already stressing out about when baby #2 comes along, will I be able to love him/her like Charli! ;) this baby is going to fit in like a glove and is already so loved!! (I still forget you are pregnant because you really are not showing!) ;) hang in there!! Those crazy hormones! ;)
Your honesty is refreshing! There's some people out there I do not aspire to be like when I'm pregnant (you know, someday). You are one I WOULD aspire to be like :)
Hope Marme makes it back safely!
You are absolutely amazing, there are people out there that could learn a thing or two from you. :)
The picture of Cullen and newborn Bennett is just perfect! You are going to be an amazing momma of 3 :) and I understand your olive obsession. It's all I ate for the first 3 months of my pregnancy with B!
I think we are due around the same time - my due date is August 21st! And since this is my first, it's refreshing to hear about your experiences the second and third times around ... hoping I can be as well-adjusted a mom as you are!
This is so true. We were the same way as you with #1 and now that we are expecting #2, all the same thoughts and fears you had while carrying B is what is keeping us up at night.
I didn't cry much with Taylor and that shocked me. She was everything I have ever wanted, but like you, I think I'm going to be a mess with #2..especially since this is our last one.
'I cried because my mascara looked weird' made me LOL. ;)
As someone who's never yet been pregnant, it's so interesting to read your observations! I hope your mom made it home safely today or at the very least can get out here tomorrow. All we got was rain here in my section of Alexandria, so I have no idea why they closed DCA. The other airports may have gotten some snow, but probably not massive amounts.
So so true! That's one thing I've noticed with pregnancy #3...I'm just sooo impatient this time. I know how amazing adding a new baby to our family is and I just can't wait to do it again. I'm so excited for my girls to meet their baby brother!
Loved this post! It is amazing how they are all so different. I felt the same about pregnancy number two. I loved the pictures! Praying for your Mom to have safe travels! Have a great rest of the week.
I loved reading this! I always wonder how I'll feel the second time around so it's pretty neat to hear another mom's perspective!
So good to hear how you've developed and changed with each pregnancy and child because I was much the same with my first two! Hope that second trimester energy kicks in soooon. And your mom sounds like an angel. Praying she gets home safely.

I can totally relate to the first pregnancy feelings, and have thought about how it will change with pregnancies after this one. You are a pro now, at being preggo and a Mommy! :)
Aww what a lovely post! I ALREADY miss the newborn stage and Sadie is only 4 months.
Did you definitely want a third or were you ify?
On the one hand, I think we are done - boy and girl... and still a managable size w/ college eds and traveling... But on the other hand - I don't think I can say NO yet to a third!

I was far less emotional with Oliver's pregnancy, but I cried more when he was born, because of the love thing. With Ethan, I cried through the entire second half of Dan in Real Life. The comedy.
For what it's worth, I'll bet your mascara looked great.
There is nothing to say but ... you are so beautiful. Wow. Just lovely.
Itty bitty Cullen!! He's so cute!
oh my gosh i'm so jealous of your ability to fall asleep quickly! my inability to fall asleep nearly killed me when carter was a newborn! haha he would fall asleep, i'd promptly start trying and wouldn't fall asleep for 1.5hrs, then he'd wake up 30 min later. it was awful!
you sound so ready for #3! And it is so cute that you cried when your mascara looked weird. That's pregnancy for you! : )
It's difficult being pregnant when you have others to care for!
The exhaustion was/is rough for me this time. I still require a daily nap to make it through my day!
This reminds me of the meme where it says that you take the baby to the doctor for something tiny the first time, you wash their mouth out the second child, and you consider not feeding them after they ingested something on the third one. You are now a pro, so this will be easy :)
Oh my, look at those sweet little boys! I can't wait to see them with their new sibling...what a beautiful sight that will be!
