Woke up to these three wonderful faces
Spent the morning at Mt Vernon answering important questions like:
Mommy, are these sheep super duper old or did George Washington's sheeps die and Mount Vernon house got new ones?
Went to lunch at Copperwood Tavern in Shirlington with Kev and Wells. (My awesome father in law watched the boys so we could go out). The food and the beer were great, especially for a brand new restaurant- we would definitely go back.
Wells wasn't not quite as miserable during lunch as he looks in this picture, I swear!
Dressed Wells in little man clothes, but had to pop his button because he is such a chunk and his pants are too small.
Watched my boys play together inside
...and outside
Went to dinner with my Dad to the place we used to go together when I was a teenager, Tim's Rivershore. It was a pretty special event to just hang out with my dad, split a pitcher and eat some quality fried food.
Ended the day with a glass of Monterey wine and a new episode of How I Met Your Mother.
All in all, not a bad way to end the decade during which I:
Graduated college
Fell in love
Taught High School English
Got married
Survived Kev's second deployment
Moved to North Carolina
Bought a house
Bought a house
Had Cullen
Started a blog
Became a Pre-K teacher
Had Bennett
Moved to California
Spent two wonderful years exploring the coast
Moved to VA
Bought another house
Bought another house
Had Wells
And today, I turn 30.
I am so grateful for the life that has been gifted to me and I believe that my 30's will be even better.

Happy birthday! It was fun to read what all you've been up to in the last 10 years. Seems like such a simple list, but when you read each item you realize how much you've accomplished and how blessed you are.
30 was my favorite birthday ever! Hope this decade is even better! I know it has been for me! I'm just 2-years from 40!! YIKES!
