The Fall Weekend That Wasn't

90 degrees in October? No, thank you.

But we still enjoyed the perfect evening light that Autumn brings.

Friday night started with a walk/bike ride down the street.
And stopping at the neighbor's tire swing so Bennett could look like a teenager {cue heartbreak}

Cullen knows nothing about super heroes, but being a boy, and having gone to McDonald's for lunch, this mask was all the rage for about 4 hours.

My inlaws came over for dinner Friday night, then we all turned in early and got up to another unusually hot Northern Virginia day.

We decided to head down to Jones Point Park Saturday morning (which was technically closed because of the government shut down) and had a great time until the boys got too hot.

One of my favorite pictures of the boys.
Nothing is more simple and happy than swings.
Wells did what Wells does best: showed off his cheeks and napped.

This is Bennett fascinated by the sound of the cars driving over our heads.
This is Cullen taunting Bennett for having a ride.
This is Bennett not caring at all, and again, looking like a teenager.

We finished Saturday at Sawyer's birthday party and then watching Auburn beat Ole Miss with Bummy and Kathleen over for dinner.

Sunday was Mass and then a lot of hanging out around the house. We are going to be traveling for the rest of the month, so a Sunday at home was much needed.
Wells got some sweet one on one time with each of his family-men.

And just so I can be in my own blog, here is my perspective.

Despite the hot weather and lack of Fall worthy activities, it was another good one in the books.

What were you up to this weekend?

That picture of Bennett lying with Wells is PERFECTION. And your boys (minus Wells) are all looking very high school these days. Did Wells cause this? Did his chubby-cheeked baby-ness make B and C grow up overnight?? He looks like he's planning something in his sleep. Keep an eye on that one. ;)

It was so hot here too! I'm not a fan of the hot in October. Fall is by far my favorite season!

We played outside a lot this weekend! Apple picking, 5 mile run and yard work. (:

Your family photos always make my heart swell! I feel like I know all of you haha. Glad you had such a wonderful weekend, despite the heat. I'm in Tennessee for a sorority sister's wedding, and it is hot here as well!

I love that last picture.....what a great shot of you and your perspective.

It FINALLY turned to fall here in Arkansas, and when I say fall I mean in the high 70's. I'll take it over 90 any day! Hopefully this cool down stays for us and hoping y'all cool down soon as well!

Bennett seriously is getting SO big! Stop it right now!

And I'm wondering...could little Wells be loved any more? His brothers seem to adore him!

Such handsome little men! Bennett looks sooo grown up in your photos lately....something about a new baby will do that to a 2 year old, I guess, haha!
Hasn't this fall weather been so odd? We are almost at mid October and we haven't even come close to peak folliage around where we live in Massachusetts. We have some family photos scheduled in two weeks, so hopefully by then we will have some pretty colors swirling around!

Wow I thought Seattle was warm in the low 70s, but 90 is crazy! Seriously, why is Bennett looking SO big all of a sudden!? Such cute pictures, as always :)

It was a beautiful weekend here in the south, the weather was just right. I spent the weekend babysitting since the hubbs had to work.

What a looker Bennett is!! (And Cullen and Wells too.) Our weather here is confused too, but unfortunately Utah thinks it's winter.

What awesome pictures! Congratulations Mama for being able to take such beautiful pictures without getting a full night's sleep. I love the picture of the boys on the swings the best! Although, the picture of your son in the cape is pretty darn cute too!
