Weekend in VA

After the horrendous flying experience from last week, this weekend had no where to go but up. My mom picked the boys and I up from my inlaw's house on Thursday morning and we headed 2 hours west to my parents' farm. We spent the weekend climbing trees,

and greeting each new person who pulled up. Like my Dad,

 and Aunt Kyle with cousin Brooks.

And those were just the people I was there to take the pictures of. We are so blessed to have a large extended family to share our visit with and I was thrilled that the boys didn't have any issues recognizing family that we hadn't seen in six months.

And while Cullen is loving to everyone, he has developed a very special place for his three crazy Uncles.

His new thing this weekend was that he wanted to do whatever they were doing.

 Uncle Tommy plays cornhole with his shirt off, Cullen plays cornhole with his shirt off.

 Uncles take a drink, Cullen takes a drink.

Uncles ride motorcycles, Cullen thinks he can ride motorcycles.

You get the idea.

Saturday night my brothers and I, along with Joey's girlfriend, stayed up way too late chatting over the bonfire.

 And on Sunday, the boys rocked their newest coordinating ensemble in order to celebrate Bennett's first birthday (which is on Tuesday!) with family and friends.

 My parents' had surprised us by turning an old well house on the property into a play house for the kids. C and his cousins were having a ball playing in it.

 As was their great-grandma.

 My mom and I spent all day Friday making these sweet cookies. I think they turned out so cute!

 Bennett was pretty pleased too.
