What Happened to the Dinosaurs

Mommy, you know there's usta-be dinosaurs in Cal-forn-a? They's were here a wong, wong, wong time ago but they wrecked ALL the houses and then ALL the construction workers 'round Montere-ay had ta come to our neighborhood and fix more houses and paint them and then we could move ta our house in Cal-forn-a. There's were no dinosaurs in Norf Caro-lin-a so our house when we used ta live there was okay. But then the T-Rex's and da 'cerpetops and all da big, big dinosaurs couldn't live in Cal-forn-a anymore.
So, Mommy, then the dinosaur catchers came. They had big white trucks and strong, strong nets dat dinosaur claws can't get through. And then, Mommy, did you know that the dinosaur catchers had to take the dinosaurs to a new land where there were lots and lots of plants and bugs and water and dirt and some birds, but not like regular birds, just dinosaur kinda birds. And Mommy, No, No people lives there were the dinosaur catchers takes the dinosaurs to their new land.

{Deep Breath}

And then everybodies was happy.

Is that a good story, Mommy?

What a cutie-pie. And a nice, thorough history lesson too. I knew all the dinosaurs went to California (because, ya know, towards the end, they just wanted to hang out at the beach and drink some good wine), but it's so terrible that they had a Trail Of Tears-esque capture and release ending. Glad your house is ok though.

Awww so CUTE. It's so cute now that Max is starting to talk and repeat more and more (although the no no no is getting old). I can't wait until he can tell stories like that!

I was just telling Erik it's GREAT being a stay at home Mom (aka maternity leave)...he said "it sounds horrible." Haha, he doesn't have the patience that I do for a 4 week old and 22 month old!

Love your photos as always.
