Ah, spring break. Don't you miss those days? Although,I actually only went on two half-spring breaks in college. Freshman year I went home, sophomore and junior year I spent a few days at the beach (Orange Beach, Al and Destin, FL) along with a few days at home, and then I graduated early, thus missing my senior spring break and was visiting my boyfriend in Savannah working hard as a real estate assistant while all my girlfriends were partying in Mexico. But don't worry, I didn't totally miss out as plenty of my springtime activities at Auburn revolved around laying by a pool with a cooler and study material, of course (let's go with that story).
So for my Friday Fancies dream spring break, I plan on going someplace warm, where there is a beach, a babysitter and a margarita machine.
1. Every girl needs a good coverup and I love the idea of a sweet white one that could also be used as a dress on a normal occassion (Crochet dress, $50)
2. Just so you know, I have never spent a lot of money on a bathing suit like this j.crew beauty (J Crew j crew swimwear, $42 J Crew bikini bathing suit, $38). I am also not sure if I am still allowed to wear a bikini after two kid and plus 5 pounds. Anyone?
3. Neutral wedges are the perfect warm weather accessory (Stuart Weitzman summer sandals, £300)
4. I'll be needing a big tote (Sperry Top Sider beach tote bag, $110) for all the magazine I hypothetically intend on reading while soaking up the sun.
5. How cute are these little earrings (Kate Spade gold plated jewelry, $48)?
6. Fun fact: I don't actually wear sunglasses. I like to wear them on my head to keep my hair out of my face, but I never wear them on my eyes. Don't know why, just have never liked them. But these (sunglasses, $251) would be cute if I did.

What is your best spring break memory? Mine actually came as an adult: Kev and I were married and went on our honeymoon in correlation with my spring break as a teacher in 2007. The following year, we hadn't seen each other in over 8 months and he came home for his 2 weeks of leave from Iraq during the same time.
Hope you have a great weekend!

Have a lovely weekend Kate xo
I honestly dont remember doing much during my spring breaks going through school other than us going to our lake house that we have and spend the warm sunny days out on the boat. However the school I work at here in the south follows the public school system which mean I get a SPRING BREAK woop woop. Im so overly excited bc Im going to visit one of my best friends that I have not seen in over a year & half. Only 22 more days, lol not that Im counting or anything!!
Great sharing, I love all what you've shared..:) Thanks!:) Keep sharing more..:)
That bikini is great! I say wear one! Love the earrings also.
I love that crochet dress, so right up my alley. I'll join you with the margarita machine! :)

let it be beautiful
I've never gone on any trips for break, always just to home, which to me is the perfect place to crash. I love the dress and the tote bag! What a great look!
I love those wedges I just wish they were half as high. I always see the cutest shoes but they are always far too sky high for me and I wish you could pick the heighth of heel. In a perfect world I guess.
Love the suit and dress you chose. Perfect for a beach vacation!
Ah my bikini days are over too (although I totally think you could still pull one off!). I was forced into a bikini on my honeymoon (long story there!) and looking back at those pictures now, I'm thinking, DAY-um I looked GOOD! Give me that body back! haha :)
I love that whole spring break dream, especially the babysitter, cover-up dress and margarita. I use sunglasses as a hair accessory too. ;)
"a baby sitter and a margarita machine", what a perfect combination! I've never done anything special for spring break. This year? I'm sleeping in, working out, and grading math tests. Yay....
Love the nautical theme! I think you're still good for a bikini. :)
I love the simple, yet sexy suit. But what I really want is that margarita!! :)
Love it all..... and, yes, I would love to on Spring Break too!
Great finds! There's no spring break in my grad program, so I'll definitely just be daydreaming this year.
I also graduated early and am missing spring break this month. Sigh. And I never really had a "college" spring break because I always visited my long-distance boyfriend. But we had fun! :)
I want everything in that picture. And some warm sun to go with it! : )
I love your all American red, white & blue color scheme!! :) With of course the margarita being your splash of color! Haha.
We have to wait until this summer for our vacays, but we had fun putting together a hypothetical Spring Break wardrobe...plus some beauty products, because we can't leave home without them. :)

My pretend spring break looks a lot like yours... babysitter, margarita machine, SUN. My real life one is looking like a family day in sweaters and the cherry blossom festival in DC. Could be worse, I guess.
When you're over 40 I don't know if you're allowed to publicly share your favorite spring break memory. :D haha. But don't be fooled - have one I do! Something to do with this black and yellow bikini I bought in Coco Beach, also in Florida; What is it with that state?
After four kids, I'm still sporting a bikini. As long as hubby looks at me with that sweet gaze I'll wear it till I'm 80! :) Don't back down - you're still young!
:D
Yes! Can I come along ;)
Love these!!
Well you had way more Spring Breaks than I did! My Mom would never let me join in on those Mexico Spring Break parties :( Probably for the better or I'd have a 10 year old by now ;) Juuust Kidding. One Spring Break my roommates and I road tripped it to California in a minivan. It was so much fun!
Loving the white sundress...super cute!
I seriously miss spring break! :( And what a fabulous outfit you put together! I love that little white dress!!! Soooo freaking adorable!!!
Hope you have a fun weekend!
