Can you believe that today is the official start of Spring? I know many of you are enjoying unseasonably warm temps already, and I have to say, I am jealous. As much as I have grown to love Monterey, all your posts about warmer weather and blooming flowers are making me sad. Spring in Winston was my favorite seasons, but here in Monterey, well, things are exactly as they have been for the past 8 months. I can't stand the thought that as we move in to 'warmer' months, my wardrobe won't change at all because it will still be 62 and partly cloudy everyday (until the summer fog comes back... o please, don't remind me).
So since I have only seen a total of one set of blooming daffodils here, I need a favor from you! Will you take a picture of spring where ever you are and send it to me? (Or if you live in a place that doesn't have a true spring, then send me a picture of something that makes you feel Spring-ish.) I thought it would be so fun to share pictures of the season from all over the world and of course, I will cite your blog and city (if you don't mind) in the post. You don't even need a blog to participate- feel free to snap a picture just because you like me.
If you are interested email me a picture anytime this week so I can put a post together for next week.
It is making my day just thinking about it!
PS- You all know how to make a girl feel special- thanks for all the love on my green skinnies. Now I feel like I should go get them in pink, and orange, and blue, and red...

So you know I'm gonna send you a picture of snow, right? We go straight from snow to summer around the beginning of May. Spring back home in PA isn't anything spectacular, but it's that hot east coast summer that I always miss!
This weather is killing me! I need some sun. I couldn't get warm all day, and right now it's pouring down rain and barely 40 degrees!
P.S. I think you should definitely get those pants in red!
Yes get more skinnies in more fab colors :) And I know what you mean - so we've gone straight from Winter to Summer... and I hate to complain, but I'm craving the 60's!!!

Don't worry, some of think Cali would be a great place to be with the consistent weather and minimal humidity. We always want what we can't/don't have!

What a fun idea!! Our daffodils bloomed here about a week or so ago. And then the heat promptly killed them all. So now we just have green sprouts with no heads. It is a WEE bit depressing. And PLEASE girl, send the 60-degree weather over here. In return, I will send you something like a pot of gold and every color skinny jean under the sun. ;)
(I saw some tulips the other day and will have to strain my ol' pregnancy brain as to where that was. Once I figure it out, I'll send you a photo.) :)
