I don't have any fun pictures of my time with my mom today because I am soaking up the last few hours of her visit. So in the meantime, I thought I would answer the questions posed which Emily tagged me to answer in her blog chain letter.1. Why did you start your blog?
O man, this is kind of funny to think about now, but when I first starting blogging, I wanted to be Jenny from Little Green Notebook (despite the fact that I have zero background in interior design). So for a few months, I posted pics of inspiring interiors, but then I realized I enjoyed the pics I took myself of my sweet family more. Now, my blog and all the support around it means so much to me!
This is a tough one. Sleep, uninterrupted without worrying about babies waking up, comes to mind first, followed by laying on a warm beach with a cold drink and an entire issue of Vogue that I could read from cover to cover. Or let's be honest, I would do all the laundry and clean the bathrooms.
3. What are a few things your dream home would have inside?
A sun porch. A working fireplace. A guest room. An office. A big kitchen. Someone to do the laundry and clean the bathrooms.

4. If you could choose between having the home of your dreams or the wardrobe of your dreams, which would you choose? (This is assuming you don't already have either!)
I would chose the home of my dreams. I would do this mostly because the home of my dreams encompasses the love of my family and a place to spend quality time with friends. I know I can look cute enough with what I can afford, but I can't replace having a place where my family and friends want to be.

5. If you could wake up tomorrow anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Paris, o how I want to go to Paris.

6. If you could have an unlimited budget at any retail store for the rest of your life, which store would you choose?
This is going to sound so sad, but Banana Republic or Ann Taylor Loft. Their clothes work on my body and they are the perfect combo of classic and trendy to keep a stay at home mom in style. I think even with an unlimited budget, I would have a hard time spending ridiculous amounts of money on clothing.

7. What would your ideal Saturday look like?
Boys sleep til 730. We watch Curious George and make pancakes. Bennett naps/Cullen plays, Kev and I sit and talk and enjoy Bloody Marys. We go to the beach, we go out to lunch, we nap. We wake up, we hang out with friends, we laugh over dinner, we put to the boys to bed. Kev and I hang out talking and enjoying a cocktail until it is time to go to sleep. Call me boring, but it is my ideal day and it is pretty much what Saturday looks like in my house.

8. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names?
Frankie, the dog, he is a German Shepard mutt thing.

9. Have you ever been in an earthquake?
No
No
10. If you had to choose between going skydiving or scuba diving, which would you choose?
I've been skydiving and I would choose it over scuba anyday. The thought of scuba makes me claustophobic.

11. How did you meet your significant other?
I was Kev's little siblings babysitter when I was in high school and he was at West Point. I had a crush on his picture long before I ever met him (and we didn't actually date until several years later). That is the simple answer, you can read the extended version here.

Oh I love your sweet sweet answers and agree with you about the house. I would always choose a house over wardrobe. And I think I'd pick Ann Taylor Loft also.
Yes, my dream house includes someone to do dishes and laundry as well. I would also slip her a Snickers as incentive to clean a toilet or two.
And Kate.
Kate, Kate, Kate.
You gotta dream bigger for Saturdays, girl. 730? Go crazy and dream of 8! I mean, it's a DREAM! That is the only time I ever sleep til 8 since Sam. (In my dreams, that is.) ;)
Ahhh.... A fireplace. I think that's my #2 item on the Home Lust list (right after a normal-sized kitchen!).
This was so fun to read, thanks for tagging me! Now I've gotta get on it!
I love your answer to #1, my answer is very similar to yours! And thanks for picking me! I promise I will do it, I have a few others I am going to wrap all into one post!
I loved learning more about you in this post! I also love the styles at Loft and think the story of how you met your husband is so sweet.
Great answers, that's so cool that you've been skydiving, I am way too chicken to ever try that, especially now with kids. I'd pick the dream home too! On the beach of course.
It's sad that the only thing on my home wishlist is a dishwasher! Dang LA apartments and no dishwashers :(
I love these posts and getting to know blogging buds better :)
Great Q & A's ! Loved reading about you! And skydiving, no way! Lol I may have a heart attack!
I liked reading more about your life! Your perfect Saturday sounds wonderful :) xoxo, eliza
Love your answers! I'm much the same way, except I would choose Target as my lifetime free store ;). Laundry and bathrooms...don't even get me started!!
