Updated: If you are visiting from A Step in the Journey, I cheated this week and used pics from a few days ago, but you really can't beat these silhouettes! I promise I won't link back again next week for sunsets :)
Happy Monday Friends. How are we today? How was the weekend? Ours started out just right with a beautiful sunset on the beach Friday evening. We went to our new favorite local resturant, Luna Ranch, for their awesome Happy Hour specials ($3 beers and $2 apps) and afterwards decided to head right next door and walk along the beach at Marina State Park. What we experienced next was one of those moments where we kind of look at each other and say 'seriously we live here?' If everyday was like this, I could definitely stand The Cloud once in a while. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking:
Hope your week is off to a beautiful start!

How nice of you to visit my blog, Kate! Yours is as wonderful as your mom's blog; your pictures make my heart soar! I grew up in CA, and the Pacific Coast has haunted me ever since. :)
Love your inexpensive curtain idea (I hope my daughter pays me in wine and grandbabies some day!). I recently wanted to change out the 16 year old heavy rose drapes in our bedroom on a budget. I ordered on sale a pair of taupe colored curtains, and when they came I found they had three tiny holes in them. You could see the daylight through the holes, so... well... I called the company and they reimbursed me for the curtains, but told me to keep them! So I paid 20 dollars for a pretty set of curtains, mended the holes, and now you can only see them when you're laying in bed and the early morning sun shines through. And to that I say... who cares for 20 bucks! :D
I've rambled long enough... have a lovely day!
Monterrey is one of my favorite places. Your pictures of course prove it! Looks like such a great time. Following and found you from the simple things!
My son lived in San Diego for a few years while he was in the Navy and loved it there! I've lived in the Midwest most all my life -- a little beach stroll now and then would be nice.
Beautiful photos. So glad you stopped by my blog, Kate. :)

You did a great job with the silhouettes (and I don't mind that you cheated,...why do it twice, lol). Love the footprint shot (even though it isn't silhouette).
Lovely photographs! your silhouettes are beautiful; I don't think it matters that you 'cheated'--you still took the photos!
